Newsletter #47 : Easter, Chocolate and The Colossal Squid

[This is a back-issue of this site’s newsletter]

Although I don’t have a new game to announce this newsletter, that’s because I’ve been busy with a number of other useful things. There’s a couple of math games I have lined up for the site, but they aren’t quite ready yet. Stay tuned! In the meantime, you might like to check if Easter really is this coming weekend, with these easter date worksheets.

So, what has been keeping me busy? On the one hand, I’ve been helping my wife set up a whole new educational site, Big-Animals.com. In time, Big-Animals.com will have information about the world’s biggest animal of every type – the biggest bird, the biggest fish, the biggest primate, the biggest mollusk and so on and on. It’s still a work in progress, but there’s already enough there to tell you all about. You might like to visit its facebook page too. Oh yes, Dr Mike’s Math Games for Kids has a facebook page too. Become a fan! Of Both!

I’ve also (finally) modernized the look of Dr Mike’s Math Games for Kids, adopting the same chocolatey-brown filofax theme I used in the blog. Well, I like chocolate. Do take the time to visit your favorite games on Dr Mike’s Math Games for Kids, and let me know if the new layout looks really strange on any of them. I’m also doing some work to make it easier for people to find what they want amongst the 90+ games and other resources already on the site.

I’ve also made a PC/Mac version of Mathteroids that you can buy and install on all your home PC’s. It’s compatible with Windows XP and higher, or Mac OSX 10.4 and higher. The Mathteroids web page has a link to a discount coupon you can use.

And if you want traffic jam game on your iPhone…. it’s coming soon!

So you can see things have been busy – but stay tuned for the next round of new games, which I’ll upload just as soon as I’ve finished off one or two more things…. Soon! I promise!

Yours, Dr Mike…
