I add the numbers, and quietly tell Sam the sum. I multiply the numbers, and quietly tell Pat the product. I ask them &#8220;What are the numbers?&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Pat says &#8220;I don&#8217;t know&#8221;<br \/>\nSam says &#8220;I don&#8217;t know either&#8221;<br \/>\nPat says &#8220;Now I know!&#8221;<br \/>\nSam says &#8220;So do I!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What are the numbers?<\/p>\n<p>Think carefully, and if you&#8217;re completely baffled&#8230;. I really shouldn&#8217;t tell you this&#8230;. the answer&#8217;s on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Dr-Mikes-Math-Games-for-Kids\/70173834644\">my facebook page<\/a> now.<\/p>\n<p>Remember Linda? I&#8217;ve written out some more <a href=\"http:\/\/spoonful.com\/family-fun\/4-probability-paradoxes\">probability paradoxes<\/a> to ponder. I&#8217;ve also posted a new method for doing <a href=\"http:\/\/spoonful.com\/family-fun\/diamond-multiplication\">long multiplication<\/a>, a way to <a href=\"http:\/\/spoonful.com\/crafts\/fractal-patterns-on-graph-paper\">draw your own fractals<\/a> with no computer, and some ideas to <a href=\"http:\/\/spoonful.com\/family-fun\/kitchen-math-fahrenheit-celsius\">use cooking to help teach your kids algebra<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hmm&#8230; talking about multiplication reminds me of this online game I made some time ago: like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dr-mikes-math-games-for-kids.com\/multiplication-strikeout.html\">hangman, but for multiplication problems<\/a>.
