Just a quick email to let you know what’s happening with Dr Mike’s Math Games for Kids<\/p>\n

Polyhedral Nets<\/strong> : Last email, I told you that I’m working on a program to help you create polyhedral nets! These are those things you cut out and fold up to make nice polyhedra. Well, I’ve got good news – it’s almost<\/em> done! You can read about it at this page<\/a>, but it will be a week or three before the program is finally ready to be made available. So, I’m just giving you a “sneak preview” at this time – but you can still download and print the fold-out net of a truncated icosidodecahedron that\u00a0I made with the software. The printable pdf file on the site has 9 pages. Print them onto cardboad and make yourself a model of this beautiful shape, with 12 decagons, 20 hexagons and 30 square faces!<\/p>\n

iPhone apps<\/strong> : The programmer I was paying to bring Mathteroids<\/a> to the iPhone has, unfortunately, fallen ill, and left me with a half-completed game. Now I need to find another developer, or figure out how to do it myself… *sigh*<\/p>\n

Topple Drop<\/strong> : Speaking of games, the maker of Arithmemouse<\/a> has made a new game called Topple Drop<\/a>. It’s a nice puzzle game. Check out my review.<\/p>\n

And, on the server<\/strong> : If you’re a regular user of Dr Mike’s Math Games for Kids, you may notice that the site loads a little faster than before… I’ve been putting in some effort to make all the HTML code clean and lean, so you ca<\/p>\n
